Decorating Christmas Trees
Christmas time is full of so many joyous moments. For children the two weeks off of school and the anticipation of what Santa will bring are some of the more exciting moments. For adults, having close friends and family around and of course the presents help move the holidays along. For everyone, both young and old, decorating Christmas trees brings loads of fun.
Decorating Christmas trees can be fun, but if it isn’t done correctly family members can quickly turn on each other. There are however some steps one should follow when decorating Christmas trees. Doing these steps in the right order will make the tree look great and help it last through the holiday season.
The first thing that needs to be done is to make sure the tree is kept fresh and green. Watering the tree is essential for both safety and appearance. They absorb the most water right after they have been cut. Keep checking the Christmas tree holder and refilling as necessary.
Considering a Christmas tree preservative is recommended. Especially if the climate is warm or the home particularly dry. This will keep it green and lush.
When it comes to actually decorating Christmas trees, remember this order; Lights, garlands then ornaments. This order created the least amount of fuss and broken bulbs.
When placing ornaments on the trees work from the inside out. Start placing them near the base and work to the outer branches. This avoids unneeded contact with ornaments and possible breaking.
Make sure that a mixture of ornaments is used. By putting all of the fancy ones outside the tree will look over the top. Mix the basic with the nicer ones for a more evenly distributed look.
Decorating Christmas trees can be a fun time for the whole family. By following some simple tips and steps, the tree will look great and everyone will enjoy the activity.
